Personal dietary advice

Salutissima’s Personal Dietary Advice is a tailor-made dietary advice that does not primarily focus on weight loss but on a balanced and healthy diet that takes your own needs and lifestyle into consideration. This is tailor-made advice for every client.

In principle, the Personal Dietary Advice consists of 3 stages but they can be adjusted in consultation with you.

Stage  1. Determination of the client’s needs/indication

Intake interview: During the intake interview (which takes 1.5 hours), we will discuss your requirements and/or your medical indication in detail  (for example hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, lactose intolerance, coeliac disease (gluten intolerance), vegetarianism, gastrointestinal issues, fertility, pregnancy, sport, etc.).  I will also carry out a body analysis (fat percentage, muscles and fluid, waist-hip ratio, BMI etc.).

Offer: After we have established your requirements, I will draw up an offer for your Personal Nutrition Programme and counselling.

Stage  2. Personal Dietary Advice

Your Nutrition Plan: I will compose a  personal and tailor-made nutrition plan that takes your requirements and  your medical indication into consideration. During our meetings (which take 1 hour on average) I will explain the nutrition programme and we will discuss this together. The programme contains, among other things, advice about your daily energy intake (calories) about the ratio between macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats) and the recommended foods. The dietary advice follows the guidelines of the original Mediterranean Diet but will be adapted to your personal situation.

Stage  3. Counselling 

We will decide together how long the counselling period will take. During our meetings we will discuss how you are feeling  and we will determine whether you nutrition plan will have to be adjusted. If required, I can give you tips for weekly menus and recipes and I can coach you on food and eating behaviour.

It is also possible to take supplementary cooking lessons (in a group or privately)  in  healthy and delicious Mediterranean cooking.
